Peer Critique

This video is a walking animation created by Dereke Winsor. This walking motion was traced very well, but two problems bother me.

First, the movement of arm is a little bit awkward. Because there is no reference footage, I do not know whether the original arm motion is a little stiff or not. For the next time, Dereke will need to put his reference footage on the corner.

Second, the left knee is a little snapping. If Dereke bend the model’s knee more, it will be fluid.

Overall, this walking motion is very smooth. Norman, the model, has evenly-paced walking. The rotation of his upper half of the body is effective to make Norman’s walk realistic. The facial expression also makes the motion natural.
